TREASURE ISLAND in 35mm
October 16 only
In 35mm, with director Scott King in attendance!
*Not* the Robert Louis Stevenson story, TREASURE ISLAND tells the story of a pair of cryptographers (Lance Baker and Nick Offerman) working at the Treasure Island naval base just outside of San Francisco during WWII. Haunted by their work and by the sexual and racial mores of their times, both men have something to hide. Filmed in black and white with authentic period equipment, TREASURE ISLAND is one of the most daring independent films of the ’90s and an evocative look into San Francisco’s past.
