SF IndieFest: DON’T GIVE A FOX
First show: January 31
In the outskirts of Copenhagen, the girl skate crew – Don’t Give A Fox – is skating their way through life. Three years ago, a group of young women decided to learn to skateboard. From there, a ragtag girl group started to form. Several of them weren’t used to having girlfriends, finding it easier to hang with the boys but found a cosiness in each others company. Through the ups and downs of learning to skate, their bonds became tighter and in fact they discovered a mutual sense of not giving a fuck what people thought of them. Don’t Give A Fox is a coming of age story about a unique friendship in a skateboarding crew and explores the struggles of being young and vulnerable.
Directed by Kaspar Astrup Schroder, Germany. 85 mins.
