Yi Yeting is struggling to survive occupational leukemia and helping other workers poisoned by assembling smart phones. Against huge odds Yi directly confronts corporate and government interests while empowering and inspiring the people around him. He brings his fight against Benzene from his hospital bed to Silicon Valley.

Shot below the radar, COMPLICIT follows the journey of Chinese factory migrant worker-turned-activist Yi Yeting, who takes his fight against the global electronic industry from his hospital bed to the international stage. While battling his own work-induced leukemia, Yi Yeting teaches himself labour law in order to prepare a legal challenge against his former employers.

Benzene and other chemicals dangerous to human health remain a toxic and unwelcome component of the smart phone manufacturing process.
