First show: June 03

This documentary explores the life of Cobby, the chimpanzee star of a 1960’s Australian children’s TV program. Filmmaker, Donna McRae, finds a photo on eBay of ‘Cobby’ performing in a circus in the US and must find out what happened to him. The only evidence she has is a forum that mentions an elderly chimpanzee named ‘Cobby’, living in at our very own San Francisco Zoo, who was rumored to have had a TV career in his younger days.

Directed by Donna McRae. 85 minutes. United States. 2o18. World Premiere.
