Filmed in Cuba in 1958, “Santo Contra Cerebro del Mal” is the first film starring El Santo (Rodolfo Guzmán Huerta), the most famous and iconic of all Mexican luchadores. In this film, El Santo is an undercover agent kidnapped by a power-crazed scientist and brainwashed with a secret serum and electronic rays. With the help of his fellow masked luchador, El Incógnito, El Enmascarado must escape the clutches of the mad scientist and foil his plot to take over the world. “Cerebro del Mal” sparked a long series of films – 52 in all – in which El Santo fights supernatural creatures, evil scientists, and various criminals and secret agents.
