ONE MORE TIME WITH FEELING
First show: December 01
Andrew Dominik’s ONE MORE TIME WITH FEELING is a remarkable black-and-white and color documentary about the creation of Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds album “Skeleton Tree”.
Originally a performance based concept, the film evolved into something much more significant as Dominik (CHOPPER, THE ASSASSINATION OF JESSE JAMES BY THE COWARD ROBERT FORD, KILLING THEM SOFTLY) delved into the tragic backdrop of the writing and recording of the album. Interwoven throughout the Bad Seeds’ filmed performance of the new album are interviews and footage shot by Dominik, accompanied by Cave’s narration and improvised rumination. The result is stark, fragile and raw, and a true testament to an artist trying to find his way through the darkness.
[Directed by Andrew Dominik, 115 minutes, 2D DCP]
“What’s most singular about the project is that in addition to providing access to the creative process and deepening the album experience, it serves as a profoundly affecting reflection on the pain of parents who have lost a child”. – David Rooney. Hollywood Reporter
