A TRANS WITH A MOVIE CAMERA

Frances Arpaia

This film challenges traditional trans filmic representations, narrative film and documentaries, and serves as proof that cinema can use experimental forms to depict and examine trans identities.  This cine-essay was created collaboratively between the director and other trans women expressing how that would like to be presented non-narratively on film.

ST. ANTHONY’S FIRE

Samantha Bloomfield

A music video for the Fort Wayne Indiana based band Girl Colors for their song St. Anthony’s Fire, and embraces the notion that we should all celebrate our own quirky and unique individuality

SAAN KA GALING

Brooklyn Page Torres

Saan Ka Galing explores the ways in which one’s performance of identity is shaped by Filipino-American immigration, societal expectations of success, and the growth of a family. This experimental dance film journeys through personally significant locations in San Francisco as lived and narrated by the director’s grandfather, Jaime Casido Torres.

BROTHERS

Emmett Jack Lundberg & Sheyam Ghieth

Just another day in the life of a transman. Trevor and Len are getting into their groove, but with Trevor on hormones for egg harvesting, things are not as easy as they seem.
