Have you ever made a movie here in the Bay Area? Well, we’d like to see it! And if we like it, we’d like to show it at the Roxie Theater! Neighborhood Nightz is our monthly showcase of locally-sourced cinema. We are continually accepting submissions for upcoming screenings (exact dates will be shared after submissions are in).
We’re looking for anything – shorts, features, home movies, made in any year – that was made in the Bay Area and reflects our home in some way. Your film can be narrative, documentary, experimental, animated: anything goes. Each program will run approximately 90 minutes. If your film is less than feature-length, team up with friends and send in your films together as a larger submission.
And if having your movie on the big screen isn’t incentive enough, you’ll get a percentage of the ticket sales!
To submit, mail us a DVD screener (region 0 or 1 only), or if your film is on a video-sharing website, e-mail the link and password to firstname.lastname@example.org. If your film is in a language other than English, please make sure it’s subtitled in English. Our address is:
ATTN: Neighborhood Nightz
3125 16th Street
San Francisco, CA 94103
As for exhibition formats, we’re equipped to show DVD, BluRay, DVCam, DigiBeta, 16mm and 35mm.
We’re looking forward to seeing your work!
