Herman Wallace had already spent 30 years in solitary confinement when he was contacted by Jackie Sumell, a NY artist. She asked him to describe a fantasy house so she could re-create it. Their growing friendship gets complicated as the project takes on a life beyond gallery shows. “I’m not a lawyer and I’m not rich…but I’m an artist,” Jackie says, “And I knew the only way I could get (Herman) out of prison was to get him to dream.”
