HIT SO HARD
HIT SO HARD
Friday, April 27 – Thursday, May 3
Director P. David Ebersole, the film’s subject Patty Schemel, and Eric Erlandson of Hole will introduce the 7:15 PM and the 9:30 PM screenings Friday, April 27 and Saturday, April 28. They will also do a Q&A after the 7:15 PM screening on both days. HIT SO HARD is a pull-no-punches portrait of the hell-and-back life of Patty Schemel, the hard-hitting drummer of Courtney Love’s seminal (and notorious) rock band Hole during its peak years. As a young girl who always knew she was ‘different’ from the other kids in her Washington State farm town, Patty never dreamed she would fill stadiums and appear on magazine covers. But she also never fathomed how bad things could get – staring down the fate of her close friend Kurt Cobain and embracing the chemical darkness, Patty is a true Gen X survivor. An unprecedented and unflinching look at one of the ‘90s most crucial and controversial groups. Dir: P. David Ebersole. 2011. Digital. 103 mins. Nightly at 7:15pm & 9:30pm, plus Sat. + Sun. at (2:30pm) & 4:30pm.
