The San Francisco FROZEN FILM FESTIVAL is showcasing an incredible selection of Documentaries, Skateboarding Films, International Shorts, Animation, and Features. A line-up of progressive documentaries, insane animation, crazy features, and skate films will thrill, delight, offend, and inspire. Happens each year in the dead of summer, when SF is at its most chill. Included in the films to be screened are the following documentary films: The story of a shark-attacked, one-armed female pro-surfer, Heart of a Soul Surfer; an Italian documentary about the I.M.F. and World Bank's destruction of Africa (Mali) Le Bon Eleve: Le Mali et Nous; a skateboarding pro's self-destructive path Pray for Me, Jason Jessee; The story of thrash-metal's rise and fall with interviews from all the bands who were there (Metallica) Get Thrashed and a look at how the record industry is killing small bands from Humboldt County (followed by a concert of those bands at Cafe Du Nord) Rural Rock & Roll.
