The US-presidential elections 2008 brought up one of the greatest battles for 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
On the one hand the donkeys bringing up the most charismatic Senator Barack Obama from Illinois, on the other the elephants with Senator John McCain from Arizona.
The difference between these two opponents could not be bigger. In the blue corner we have a 46 year old Harvard-graduate fighting to end the war in Iraq and in the red corner a 71 year old Vietnam Veteran. The age gap between the candidates is the widest in the history of presidential elections.
"the audacity of hope versus the faith of our fathers" writes the International Herald Tribune. This and a lot more makes "Obama vs Mccain" the fight of the century.
Sens. Barack Obama and John McCain go head-to-head in the first of three debates! Meet up with friends on Friday, September 26, as the two candidates square off on foreign policy and national security issues. The debate will last 90 minutes and will be commercial free.
