The World's Greatest Sinner
Saturday, Dec. 15, 7 & 9:15pm.
One night only!
A Film on Film Foundation presentation
Timothy Carey, the primitive-savant who gave unforgettable performances in The Wild One, The Killing, and Poor White Trash, directed only one feature film: The World's Greatest Sinner. Carey plays an insurance salesman turned fascist rock 'n' roll evangelist, who calls himself God and gains a mass youth following. It's hard to imagine this overtly anarchic and blasphemous film coming out today, let alone in 1962. Don't miss this ultra-rare underground classic, unavailable on DVD!
Music by Frank Zappa. Shows with Cinema Justice, a six-minute improvised rant by Timothy Carey, and classic trailers. All in 35mm! Only $7.00!
Carey's son Romeo will be on hand to introduce both screenings and field questions.
