Short on time but big on style, the program features a wide variety of storytelling, including fiction, documentary, animation and, for the first time, a Native film. Half of the films in the program won a Short Film Jury Award.

Each year The Sundance Film Festival receives more than 8,000 short film submissions, selecting 60-80 to show. Short Film Jury Award: Non-fiction. Written and directed by Sol Friedman. Canada, 9 minutes. A 90-year-old Jewish woman reflects on her life experiences as she prepares to try bacon for the first time.
